During a recording session, Sam commented on how she liked my voice better when I sing in a higher register. So, I wrote this song to play with that idea. The song's lyrical meaning of beating one's fears to accomplish their dreams/goals/life/etc wasn't intentional to me getting over my own limitations about how I view myself as a vocalist. But it all came out in the recording sessions. And I am still working on trusting my voice.
