about

Andrew Jackson is a cunt! What he did to the Native Americans is appalling. When he fought with the native peoples against the British in the Revolutionary War they called him, Sharp Knife. It was an endearing nickname that bestowed admiration to the man that would one day betray their trust. He used those same cold, calculating techniques that earned him his reputation, and favored moniker, against the native peoples simply so he could steal their land.

lyrics

Sharp Knife
Music & Lyrics by Stavros

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

White men lied through the skein of his teeth
Didn't care about his treaties or keeping the peace
It never mattered how hard you adopted his ways
The color of your skin only numbered your days
An endless trail of tears to separate
You from the land that he eyed to take.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

From endless days across this land
The same tale unfolds against man against man
To put one up and keep one down
Is a wicked way to live out our own fates
As we cut our flesh to eradicate

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

One day your head must bow
As low as ours. As low as ours.

about

Cherokee Starlight Albuquerque, New Mexico

Music is! It's the language of my heart, my mind, and Spirit. It is the language of our Earth, the stars; it is life. Every vibration that moves within us, around us, and through us, can be heard, felt, and played. I play with the sounds of Folk, Rock, Punk, Funk, Hip Hop, Spoken Word, and Jazz to explore the journey of this odd flesh suitcase traveling down this organic ghetto. ... more
