about

She called me up and said that she was finally ready to talk, and to listen, which was important because that was a main part as to why our relationship failed so hard. She never listened.

She said to meet her at a bar and that she would finally listen to what I had to say. We ordered drinks. She asked what's been on my mind, and I began. In less than a minute, she cut me off and went on a rant.

I finished my drink, listening to her, acknowledging her. Paid for both our beers and then drove home and wrote this song.

lyrics

Stonewalled
Music & Lyrics by Stavros

You'd rather believe a lie
Than suffer the truth
Think what you want, girl
It'll be your own abuse
Can't twist the knife in
Without it cutting you too
So, don't act above it
When it's coming home to you

Oh, I am Stonewalled at reaching out to you

Rage all you want to
And blame 'cause it's quick
Easier to lash out than use your intellect
Keep the past alive now
Instead of burying it in the dirt
Better to be right, babe
Thank loose your heart to hurt

Oh, I am Stonewalled at reaching out to you
All the beauty that could've been is blowing in the wind

Try, try all we might
It still wont change a thing
As long as you're holding on to that dreadful thing
it's easier and it's quick, girl
To be swallowed in your pride
Wont ever see the truth though from a blindy side

Oh, I am Stonewalled at reaching out to you
All the beauty that could've been is
blowing in the wind :||

about

Cherokee Starlight Albuquerque, New Mexico

Music is! It's the language of my heart, my mind, and Spirit. It is the language of our Earth, the stars; it is life. Every vibration that moves within us, around us, and through us, can be heard, felt, and played. I play with the sounds of Folk, Rock, Punk, Funk, Hip Hop, Spoken Word, and Jazz to explore the journey of this odd flesh suitcase traveling down this organic ghetto. ... more
